Elgood, Tetley & Rebellion – Block 48/22c (Source: Wood Mackenzie PathFinder/IOG)

The Hambleton Field was discovered in 2005 by well 48/22c-5, drilled by Century Exploration.  It is a good quality Rotliegend Leman sandstone reservoir that was not progressed to development due to its size and the prevailing gas prices at the time.

IOG estimates the gas in place in the Hambleton discovery is as follows:

Discovery Reservoir Min GIIP (bcf) ML GIIP (bcf) Max GIIP (bcf)
Hambleton Leman 3 14 22

IOG estimates the recoverable gas resources in the Hambleton discovery is as follows:

Discovery Reservoir Min  Resource (bcf) ML  Resource (bcf) Max  Resource (bcf)
Hambleton Leman 1 9 16

IOG estimates the gas in place in the Tetley and Rebellion prospects are as follows:

Prospect Reservoir Min GIIP (bcf) ML GIIP (bcf) Max GIIP (bcf)
Tetley Leman 8 18 45
Rebellion Leman 2 8 24
Total   10 26 69

IOG estimates the recoverable gas resources in the Tetley and Rebellion prospects are as follows:

Prospect Reservoir Min  Resource (bcf) ML  Resource (bcf) Max  Resource (bcf)
Tetley Leman 5 14 36
Rebellion Leman 2 6 18
Total   7 20 44

IOG estimates the oil in place in the Tetley Hauptdolomit prospect is as follows:

Prospect Reservoir Min STOIIP (MMBbls) ML STOIIP (MMBbls) Max STOIIP (MMBbls)
Tetley Hauptdolomit 1 5 14

The Department of Energy and Climate Change announced the award of block 48/22c to IOG at 100% working interest on 6th November 2014.  On 20th March 2015 the Department of Energy confirmed IOG’s request to enlarge the awarded area to the south of the block to include the Hambleton discovery.
