IOG has a 100% working interest in licence P2260 to the west of Blythe containing the Elgood discovery (Block 48/22c), which was awarded in the 28th licensing round.  The Elgood Field was discovered in 1991 by well 48/22-4, drilled by Enterprise Oil, but was not progressed due to its perceived size and gas prices at that time. It is a good quality Rotliegend Leman sandstone reservoir that tested gas to surface at rates in excess of 17 MMscfd.  Gas was also tested from the Hauptdolomit interval 700 feet above the Leman interval but at low rates without stimulation.

During 2016, IOG completed a 3D seismic reprocessing project across the wider Blythe area, including the P2260 licence. Based on this work, IOG’s estimates of the gas in place and recoverable gas resources at the Elgood discovery were increased significantly to the following:

GIIP (Bcf) P90 P50 P10
Elgood 26 35 48

Resources (Bcf) P90 P50 P10
Elgood 15 22 31

IOG estimates the oil in place in the Tetley Hauptdolomit prospect is as follows:

Prospect Reservoir Min STOIIP (MMBbls) ML STOIIP (MMBbls) Max STOIIP (MMBbls)
Tetley Hauptdolomit 1 5 14

IOG estimates the oil resources in the Tetley Hauptdolomit prospect is as follows:

Prospect Reservoir Min  Resource (MMBbls) ML  Resource (MMBbls) Max  Resource (MMBbls)
Tetley Hauptdolomit 0.4 2 5

IOG expects that Elgood will be co-developed with the Blythe gas field and would have a single well tied back to the unmanned platform and producing well at Blythe. Some further pre-development technical work is now being undertaken on Elgood prior to an anticipated Field Development Plan being completed and submitted for Blythe and Elgood as a hub development. First Gas at Elgood is targeted in the first half of 2019.
